Poly Auction will serve up a jadeite necklace at its upcoming Hong Kong sale, expecting it to bring in as much as HKD 60 million ($7.7 million).
The piece contains 43 jadeite beads joined together by a ruby clasp surrounded by circular-cut diamonds. It will lead the May 1 Magnificent Jewels sale, according to the auction house’s website.
In total, 116 lots are set to go under the hammer at the sale, including other jadeite pieces, and those set with colored diamonds, gemstones and pearls. Some of the jewels hail from a private collection, while the proceeds from the sale of others will go to charity. Pieces from well-known design houses also made the cut, including those from Harry Winston, Cartier, Buccellati and Bulgari.

A ring featuring a heart-shaped, 18.39-carat, fancy-vivid-yellow, VS2-clarity diamond flanked by D-color diamonds weighing 0.71 and 0.70 carats has an upper estimate of HKD 10 million ($1.3 million). These earrings contain emerald-cut, fancy-deep-yellow, VS1-clarity diamonds weighing 7.55 and 7.51 carats. The center stones are surrounded by pear-shaped white diamonds. The set carries a top price of HKD 5.8 million ($747,228). Poly Auction will offer this ring, which bears a cushion-shaped, 10.64-carat Colombian emerald surrounded by multi-shaped diamonds, for up to HKD 5 million ($644,162). A jadeite Ruyi carved pendant will also be up for auction. It has a high estimate of HKD 5 million ($644,162). This rectangular-shaped, 5.02-carat, Kashmir sapphire ring with diamond side stones has a top price of HKD 3.8 million ($489,563). A necklace set with oval-shaped conch pearls, pear, marquise and circular-cut white diamonds and pear-shaped pink diamonds carries a high estimate of HKD 3.8 million ($489,563). Bearing a cushion-shaped, 13.29-carat Madagascan sapphire with F-color, VS2-clarity diamond side stones weighing 1.02 and 1 carats, this ring is estimated at up to HKD 3.5 million ($450,913). A necklace with a pear-shaped, 1.07-carat white diamond suspending a pear-shaped, 12.29-carat, fancy-intense-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond bears an upper price tag of HKD 3.5 million ($450,913). This pair of earrings comprises two rectangular-shaped, fancy-yellow diamonds weighing 11.75 and 11.64 carats. It carries a high estimate of HKD 3 million ($386,497).
